Nanoparticles ornanomaterials are believed to have unique properties and a wide applications invarious industries. Currently, environmental problems are inducing more issuesto society and industry. Nanotechnologies can provide a solution forenvironmental remediation. This talk will focus on the development of severalnanomaterials and their applications for air and water pollution. Metal-organicframeworks, metal oxides and carbon will be demonstrated to be good candidatesfor adsorption and catalysis. Their applications in CH4, H2and CO2 adsorption and catalytic degradation of organics in waterwill be discussed.

Shaobin Wang (王少彬) 教授，拥有北京大学学士和硕士学位以及澳大利亚昆士兰大学博士学位。现为澳大利亚科廷大学，化工系教授。主要从事纳米材料合成及其在吸附与催化反应、能源转换与产氢、CO2循环与利用、空气污染与控制技术、环境工程与废水处理方面的应用等方面的研究。发表SCI文章200多篇，累积引用超过9200次，H因子51，于2012年获得澳大利亚Thomson Reuters Citation & Innovation 奖。应邀担任International Journal of Ch
